Find your people
in a new city.

Liev shows you who else moved here from your home district, who arrived recently, and what they've learned — rooms, messes, jobs, and where to find proper food from back home.

  • Works on slow networks

“Who else is from my home district, living in this city — and who just arrived?”

You move to Kota, Surat, Indore or Pune for a job, a course, or family. WhatsApp groups are noisy and closed. Facebook is for everyone and nobody. The people who could actually help — the ones who came from your side and figured this city out already — are invisible.

Liev is built around that one question. You tell us where you're from and where you live now. We show you the people who share that route, the newcomers still finding their feet, and the groups, rooms, jobs and meet-ups they're sharing.

Where you're from

Where you live now

When you got here

Built for the first ninety days in a new city — and every day after.

Five tabs. Home, People, Groups, Spaces and Chats. Each one answers a question you actually have when you've just arrived.

A feed for your city

Two tabs, no algorithm games. City shows what people around you are posting right now. Trending surfaces what your state and the whole country are talking about.

  • Posts, questions, intros and polls
  • Photos compressed on your phone
  • Comments, replies and saves

People from your side

See who shares your route — Jhunjhunu → Kota, Bikaner → Surat — and who arrived in the last three months. Send a connect request; chat opens only when they accept.

  • Recent arrivals
  • Same home district
  • Connections you both share

Groups that run themselves

Open or approval-only, run by admins who can pin a notice, hold money-related posts for review, and require verified members for listings.

  • Join requests and member roles
  • Announcement-only boards
  • Reported posts go to admins

Spaces — meet-ups and more

A group is a room people live in; a space is an occasion they turn up to. In person or on a call, with a headcount limit and a joining link only attendees can see.

  • Meet-ups, help sessions, festivals
  • Sport and study circles
  • Going / maybe with a cap

Rooms, PGs and messes

Housing posts show up in the same feed, tagged so you can spot them. Ask about the area, the landlord, the food — from people who actually lived there.

  • Tagged housing listings
  • Verified-only option per group
  • Chat with the poster after connecting

Jobs from people you can reach

Full-time, part-time, daily wage or contract. Post an opening with pay, location and deadline; applicants attach a resume and you accept from an inbox.

  • Apply with a resume
  • Openings and deadlines
  • Employer and applicant inboxes

Direct messages that need a yes first

A chat between two people doesn't exist until a connect request has been accepted — the rule lives in the database, not just the app. Typing indicators, delivery ticks, and messages that never silently vanish on a bad connection.

A shopfront for the mess, the tiffin service, the tutor

Switch on a business account and your profile shows what you do, your hours, address and a call button. People can connect instantly — nobody has to approve — and your enquiries land in a separate business inbox.

Say what you mean. The card tells everyone what it is.

Every post carries a chip — so a housing listing never gets lost between a poll and a question, and a job can offer an Apply button right in the feed.

Post

Diwali mela at Dussehra Maidan this weekend, who's going?

Question

Which mess near Mahaveer Nagar does proper Bikaneri food?

Intro

Just moved from Jodhpur for a nursing job at MBS. Say hi!

Poll

Best area for a student PG — Talwandi, Vigyan Nagar or Jawahar Nagar?

Housing

1 room free in a 2BHK, ₹4,500 with wifi, vegetarian flat.

Job

Hiring 2 delivery riders, ₹16k + fuel, apply by Friday.

Three steps between you and someone who gets it.

Liev asks for very little. Where you're from and where you are. Everything else — work, education, your address — is optional and yours to show or hide.

  1. 01

Sign up in under a minute

Phone number with an OTP, or one tap with Google. No email chains, no passwords to remember.

  2. 02

    Tell us your route

Your home district, the city you live in now, and roughly when you arrived. That's all the profile Liev needs to start.

  3. 03

    See your people

Your city feed, people from your side, groups worth joining and this week's meet-ups — all there on the first open.

A new city is enough to worry about.

You choose what your profile shows: your address, your work history, your education, and whether you appear in People at all. Each is a single switch.

  • Show my address on my profile
  • Show my work history
  • Show my education
  • Let people find me in People

No DMs without a yes

Nobody can message you until you accept their connect request. Enforced in the database, so a modified app can't get around it.

Verified badges

College and employer verification is checked on our servers, not self-declared. Groups can require it for housing and money posts.

Report anything, fast

Report a post, a comment or a person. Group admins see reported posts in a queue; serious reports go to us with a grievance process.

Delete means delete

Export your data or delete your account from Settings, any time. Built in from day one under India's DPDP Act — not bolted on later.

Designed for Tier-2 cities, not just for Bangalore.

Hosted in India. Signs you in with a phone number. Assumes a poor network. These are design decisions, not afterthoughts.

हिंदी और English

Switch the whole app to Hindi from Settings. Devanagari is set with its own typeface and spacing, not squeezed into a Latin layout.

Built for a 4G that drops

The app opens with what it saw last time, even offline. Posts and likes queue up and go through when the signal comes back.

Light on data

Photos are resized and compressed on your phone before upload — never the raw camera file — so posting works on a Tier-2 network and costs less data.

Light, dark, or match your phone

The Haldi theme in daylight; a deep neem-black at night. Pick one, or let the app follow your phone.

Things people ask before they download.

Is Liev free?

Yes. Signing up, posting, connecting, joining groups and applying to jobs are all free. There are no paid tiers at launch.

Who is it for?

Anyone who has moved from one part of India to another — for work, study, marriage or family — and wants to find people from their side in the city they live in now. Locals are welcome too; a city feed is better with the people who grew up there.

How do you know where I'm from?

You tell us. Liev asks for your home district and current city when you sign up. We don't read your contacts or track your location in the background.

Can strangers message me?

No. A direct chat opens only after you accept a connect request. Until then, someone can see your public profile and nothing more.

What about my data?

Your data is stored on servers in India. You can export everything or delete your account from Settings at any time, and deletion is permanent.

Can I run a group for my district?

Yes. Create a group, choose open or approval-only joining, add admins, pin a notice, and decide whether everyone can post or just admins.
