1. Delete from inside the app
- Open Liev and sign in.
- Go to the You tab and open Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. You are signed out and your account is deleted straight away.
If you also run a business account, it is deleted together with your personal account.
2. Request deletion from the web
No access to the app? Send us a request below. We will confirm it with the email address on your account and complete the deletion within 7 days, then write back to tell you it is done.
3. What is deleted
Immediately:
- Your name, photo, bio, headline, address, website and business details are removed, and your profile shows as “Deleted account”.
- All your posts and comments are hidden from everyone.
- You are removed from every group and every connection, and from the People directory.
Within 30 days: everything remaining on your account is permanently erased — your login, email, phone number, profile details, work and education history, posts, photos, comments, likes, poll votes, saved posts, spaces you hosted, job applications you made and resumes you uploaded, reports and settings.
Within 90 days: the deleted data expires from our encrypted backups.
4. What may be kept
- Messages you sent stay in the other person’s chat, shown as from “Deleted account”, because they are part of that person’s conversation too.
- Job applications already sent to an employer may remain with that employer, outside Liev.
- Security and moderation records — such as sign-in logs and the outcome of reports — may be kept for up to 180 days, or longer if needed for an open investigation, fraud prevention, or because Indian law requires it. These records are not used for anything else.
5. Delete some data without deleting your account
- A post or comment: open it and choose Delete.
- Profile details: edit or clear them from your profile, or switch off Show address, Show work history, Show education and Let people find me in People under Settings → Privacy.
- Leave a group or cancel a space from its page.
- Anything else: email [email protected] and tell us what you want removed.
See the Privacy policy for the full picture of what we collect and why.
