1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Liev, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Liev.
2. Who can use Liev
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be able to enter a binding contract under Indian law and not be barred from using the service.
- You may hold one personal account. You may run one business account from it.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information — especially your name, home district and current city, which is what the app is built on.
- Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Do not impersonate anyone, sell or transfer your account, or create accounts with automated tools.
- Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised.
4. Community rules
Liev exists so people far from home can find help and company. You must not post, send or do anything that:
- is a scam, fraud or phishing attempt — including asking for advance payments, deposits or “registration fees” you do not intend to honour;
- harasses, threatens, bullies or stalks anyone, or shares someone’s private information without consent;
- attacks people for their caste, religion, community, region, language, gender, sexual orientation or disability;
- is sexually explicit, involves minors in any sexual way, or depicts graphic violence;
- promotes illegal goods or services, gambling, weapons or drugs;
- infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- is spam, repetitive, misleading, or impersonates a person, business or official;
- contains malware or tries to break, scrape or overload the service;
- breaks any law in force in India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under it.
Report anything that breaks these rules using the report option in the app.
5. Housing, jobs and money
Never pay an advance before you have seen a room in person or met an employer. Liev does not handle payments and will never ask you to pay anyone.
- Room, PG, mess and job listings are posted by members. We do not inspect properties, verify employers or guarantee that a listing is accurate, available or safe.
- Any agreement — rent, deposit, salary, terms of work — is between you and the other person. Liev is not a party to it.
- Employers must post genuine openings, may not charge applicants any fee, and must use applicant details only to consider the application.
6. Meeting in person
Spaces let members meet. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and leave if you feel unsafe. Hosts are responsible for their event. Liev does not organise, supervise or insure meet-ups.
7. Business accounts
If you create a business account, you confirm you are authorised to represent that business, that its details are accurate, and that you will comply with consumer-protection and advertising law. Customers who connect with your business can message it; respond to them honestly.
8. Your content
- You own what you post. You give Liev a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute it for the purpose of operating and improving Liev. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with others (for example, a message they received) and backups that expire on schedule.
- You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.
- Posts in approval-only groups are visible to members of that group; other posts are visible to members in the feed you chose.
9. Moderation
To keep Liev safe we may, without notice where the situation requires it:
- hide or remove posts, comments, groups, spaces or listings;
- limit features, or temporarily suspend an account;
- permanently block an account from the platform;
- preserve information and share it with authorities where the law requires.
Group admins can also remove posts and members within their groups. If you think we made a mistake, write to the Grievance Officer — we review every appeal.
10. Our intellectual property
The Liev name, logo, design and software belong to Liev. You may not copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app, or use our brand, without written permission.
11. Disclaimers
Liev is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for content posted by members or for the conduct of anyone you meet through the app.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Liev is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for losses arising from dealings between members — including rent, deposits, wages or anything you pay to another person. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
13. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app or from the Delete your account page. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms or if we are required to by law. Sections 8 (licence for content already shared), 11, 12 and 14 continue after your account ends.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Rajasthan, India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under consumer-protection law. Please contact us first — most problems are solved faster that way.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app before it applies. Continuing to use Liev after that means you accept the new Terms.
